Macro Photography

I took these photos on a sunny morning in school. It was easy to find different areas with great texture and, because it was sunny, I could catch the light easily. The second photo is my favorite because of the way the light bounces off the top of the clover and the drops of rain at the end of each blade of grass.

Web Assignment #4

1. Who was Alfred Stieglitz and why is he noteworthy in the history of photography?]
He was an American photographer who was instrumental for making photography a form of art.
2. Choose a photograph he made, upload it to your blog, and explain why you chose it as your favorite by him.
This is my favorite picture he's taken because I love the way the water reflects the buildings and the sky. It also gives off a homey vibe that makes me think I'm coming home to eat some pasta with my family.

3. With what famous painter was he in a relationship? Who was she?  Upload a painting by her that you like.
Extra: How did they influence each other in their art making?
Georgia O'keeffe was one of the first female painters of her time.
I chose this photo because I like the water the colors melt together but stand on their own.
